jaragon
Nestor Almendros was one of the masters of cinematography and gay man. https://vimeo.com/201103833 He co-directed " Improper Conduct" a must see documentary about the persecution of homosexuals by Fidel and Raul Castro. TCM really should have included him in the recent gay festival perhaps next year.
rayban
He won an Academy Award for Terrence Malik's "Days Of Heaven". He also photographed one of my "guilty pleasures", "The Blue Lagoon". He received a Cesar for Francois Truffaut's "The Last Metro". He photographed one of my favorite films, "Bed and Board". He wrote an autobiography, too, "A Man With A Camera" that was published in 1985.
