Guest
Tess of the Storm Country with Mary Pickford, and I missed it again.... Unreal.... And why is TCM doing so many multiple showings? When there are so many films TCM nevers shows, why show certain films twice during the same month? Where is The Love Parade, Anna Lucasta, Showgirl in Hollywood, The Merry Widow (1925), The Florodora Girl, Marianne, Chasing Rainbows, etc? These are never shown or have been shown like ONCE in the last decade......
coffeedan1927
Cheer up, Ed -- at least there's a couple of Dorothy Mackaill films coming up soon (THE FLIRTING WIDOW and SAFE IN HELL).
Guest
I love Dorothy Mackaill, Dan, altho I have seen the VERY bizarre Safe in Hell.... The Flirting Widow sounds familiar, so I've probably seen it too.... Been slim pickings on TCM for a long time.
alix1929
Bizarre is the word to describe SAFE IN HELL! I liked Dorothy's performance, and the atmosphere in this film is one of the seediest I've ever seen! Only in a pre-Code! (Now, if they'd only show more!!)
