The Fruits of White Supremacy-- Murder and Violence

NEWS: The U.S. Supreme Court just struck down non-unanimous jury verdicts in state criminal trials. This ruling means that each juror must vote ‘guilty’ before a person can be convicted of a serious crime. Laws that allowed non-unanimous juries were rooted in racism and bigotry.

These kind of laws are an example of institutional racism.

NBC/WSJ poll:

White voters: Trump 51% Biden 42%

Despite all that’s happened, all the incompetence, all the failure, all the BS, white voters remain solidly with Trump.

It’s Black and brown voters who are saying hell no:

Black: Biden 85% Trump 7%

Hispanic: Biden 60% Trump 26%

Yikes! Atlanta Mayor @KeishaBottoms telling @chucktodd Georgia Gov @BrianKempGA
not only didn’t tell her he was reopening nonessential retail businesses like bowling alleys he didn’t notify Mayors of Augusta, Savannah or Albany...why not listen to their public health concerns?

Andrea, I don't know anything about Georgia politics specifically, but I'd be willing to put down some cold hard cash that the mayors of Atlanta, Savannah, and Augusta are black people and /or Democrats.

Everybody's got Brian Kemp's number. LMREO

The claim that the Confederate flag is about "southern pride" really doesn't hold up when it's being waved around in Michigan. It really is just the American swastika.

Meaningless poll if these groups don't get out and vote and the recent L.A. Times shows that way too many Latinos are likely to do what they have always done;   NOT get out and vote!

Asked what crime he is accusing Obama of committing, Trump says, "Obamagate!" "Some terrible things happened." "And you'll be seeing what's going on." "You know what the crime is. The crime is very obvious to everybody."

Obamagate, a crime so heinous Trump cannot name it but "it's been going on for a long time."

It's "very obvious to everybody."

This, to say the least, is not the statement of the president of a rule-of-law country.

When you're down in the polls because you're responsible for thousands of American lives lost, for millions of American jobs lost,

The best thing to do is to blow a dog whistle so loud that they can hear it all over the country.

Fox said that trump is not running against Biden because he's running against Obama.

That may sound ridiculous to you, but not to a racist trump supporter. They know why they voted for him and they know why they will vote for him again.

Why would Trump go after a popular ex-president?

1.) He knows his record is putrid in comparison so he projects ("incompetent") and
2.) It's the original sin of his presidency: birtherism, racism, white grievance. It's his go-to spot

It's the red meat for his supporters-

- racism is the glue that holds the trump base together.

.@deanbaquet is to be seriously respected. He has long been considered one of the dumbest men in the world of journalism, and he became Executive Editor of the Failing New York Times. Not easy to do. He has given up on “figuring Trump out”. Called it all wrong from the beginning, was forced to apologize (Fake News!) after the seriously wrong call of the 2016 Election, and is now willing to write anything, even if not truthful. He laughs at his boss, Publisher A.G. Sulzberger, and I laugh at them all. The @nytimes is a total mess!

Yes, ladies and gentlemen,

by now we know what race the executive editor of the New York Times is because trump wrote:

trump translation: the executive editor of the New York Times is black.

Yes Mr Baquet is the first black executive editor of the New York Times.

He joins Congresswoman Maxine Waters-- who trump dubs as low IQ-- in the pantheon of distinguished black Americans who trump despises.

Though none can compare with his nemesis, President Obama.

The black man asked the white woman to leash her dog according to park regulations.

She responded by calling the police saying he had threatened her life.

Result-- She has been suspended from her job, pending an investigation, for public racism.

Her conception of white supremacy led her to do the things that she did and the result she was expecting could have led to the incarceration or possibly even the death of this innocent black man.

In this particular case, obvious racism is damaging the perpetrator and not the victim.

But how easily the story could have had a different and more tragic end.

Yea,  what she was letting her dog to do plants in the area that are used by birds was criminal.      Like the gentleman I'm a member of the Audubon Society and I sometimes perform the function he was doing.     This guy is a contributing member to society.   This women is NOT.

Btw, in addition to being a popular spot for bird watchers, the Ramble (where the incident took place) has traditionally also been a popular spot for something that doesn't involve birds, or dogs, or women.

There is an update on the white woman, Amy Cooper, in the above posting.

As the video depicting  her  behavior in the park went viral, she was fired from her job and there was a further consequence.

If you watch the video, you can see that as she is making the call to the police she is choking her dog,  dragging it by the collar because, obviously, it's not on a leash.

It turns out she got the dog from a cocker spaniel rescue organization-- so recently she voluntarily relinquished the dog to them. Currently they are evaluating the situation.

Chris Cooper, the black man who was victimized, is a serious bird-watcher who is a former president of the Harvard Ornithological Club.

In his profession as a writer and editor, he contributed to the presentation of the first gay superheroes in Marvel Comics.

He's also well known as writing for the characters of Vengeance and Ghost Rider.

Looks like, you never know who you're going to meet in Central Park.

I am haunted by a brutal reality, as we watch the horrific videos from Minneapolis, Central Park and Georgia: imagine how many murders, beatings, wrongful arrests were committed against people of color with no consequences before we had cell phone cameras.

Liked the quote in that story by BRIAN KLASS----

"If you're more upset by an athlete kneeling on a sports field than a police officer kneeling on a black man's neck until he dies, then you are the problem"

When she was previously in charge of prosecution for Minneapolis, Klobuchar declined to prosecute multiple police officers cited for excessive force, including the officer who kneeled on Floyd's neck as he protested.

The police officer, who kneeled on the victim's neck, had been cited for police brutality in the past. But he was never fired or prosecuted.

I wonder how many of these tragedies could have been avoided if the police and DA involved had done their job for fairness and justice.

Apparently a potential Democratic vice presidential candidate, Amy Klobuchar, was the DA who refused to prosecute and aptly punish this Rogue police officer.

Today the irony of her situation is striking.

Linda Fairstein, the prosecutor of The Central Park 5 has been a financial supporter of Amy Klobuchar's presidential campaign.

When the media got wind of Farisstein's donations to klobuchar's campaign, reportedly the senator returned he donations.

Birds of a feather.....

trumps white supremacist double standard is understandable since he's a racist.

But it's still unconscionable that a president of the United States would promote violence against American citizens.

But trump's Central Park 5/ birther history--

Not to mention the Nixon administration's justice department citing him for racial discrimination against black citizens in his housing units--

characterizes him as a hardcore active racist who is incapable of treating non-whites with respect and fairness.
