joefilmone
Its interesting to see how he grew from his early silly like " Labyrinth of Passion" (1982) movies to a great director of films like " Talk To Her " and "All About My Mother" . Film_Fatale
It's actually even more amazing if you manage to watch his earliest feature, Pepi Luci Bom (1980, I think) and see how much he has progressed as an artist. Not only that, he's helped make major movie stars of Spanish actors like Antonio Banderas and Penelope Cruz.
joefilmone
The early films are very amateurish- as if Pedro grabbed some super 8 camera and shot some friends a la Warhol. For me the turning point was "Live Flesh" there is a moment in that film when you realized the talented amateur is becoming a master film maker. Film_Fatale
This is true. So sad that most other filmmakers go the other way!
