Bronxgirl48
Check them out! I hesitate to post the links for obvious reasons (some actors say "Nuts!" but the majority don't, including Jimmy Stewart!) Watch for the HILARIOUS door slamming with James Cagney. The look on his face when he realizes what he's done is priceless. Please if you would get back to me on these -- I'd love to know your reactions. scsu1975
Funny stuff .. Reagan is a riot when he is asked if he's "getting any."
Bronxgirl48
Yeah, and Ron didn't miss a beat back. Barton MacClane always LOOKED like he swore, and now we know!
CineMaven
I've seen these many years ago. Thanxx for the reminder. They were priceless and should be re-issued on prime-time tv. Didn't Cagney look like a little boy when he saw how he mucked up that door?? Thanx!
scsu1975
Agree about Barton McLane ... I always had the impression that if I was with this guy, I would hear nothing but expletives all day long. But he was great to watch on film!
scsu1975
There is also another Warner's blooper reel where almost everyone says "gosh darn," or some variation of that ... and Ronnie saying "Oh shoot" (or something similar) as he tries to get his pants up. MR. GORBACHEV ... TEAR DOWN THESE PANTS. http://youtube.com/watch?v=r8nSDuNBTNs&feature=related
CineMaven
"...tear down these pants." VERY FUNNY!!!
Bronxgirl48
Yes! That sheepish, naughty look from Jimmy was just so unexpected. Was this from the one about the rubber plantation (the title escapes me; too much eggnog last night) with Ann Sheridan, that had a lot of zippy and risque lines, a la THEY DRIVE BY NIGHT? I just remembered (from seeing Sheridan in THE MAN WHO CAME TO DINNER): it was TORRID ZONE. Thanks, BG; you're welcome! Bronxgirl48
And I guess "Oh, nuts!" was the typical clean alternative for the stars who didn't go potty mouth!
CineMaven
And aren't the best conversations we have the ones we have with ourselves? Yes, yes they are. "Torrid Zone" is a great title. And I love Ann Sheridan too.
metsfan
Reading the responses has already made me laugh, thanks. I'll check them out later. Happy holidays to all!
beastooge
All are snippets from the "Breakdowns" series, blooper films produced for the annual WB holiday party from 1936 - 1944. Many are legit, some were performances. All the surviving "Breakdowns" reels are available on DVD, bonus features on various WB box sets.
metsfan
It's funny how the most unexpected people swore(like Claude Rains) and others like E. G. Robinson and Cagney just laughed. The bloopers made me feel like I was on the set with them and enjoying their team chemistry.
schnickelfritz
Absolutely hysterical!!! but I need help. On one of the blooper clips there was a scene with Jimmy Stewart and Rosiland Russell. Does anyone know the name of that movie? They are both amazing and together they must be priceless. I must see that movie.

CineMaven
Thanxxx, I'll be on the lookout. I always felt Pat O'Brien tried to keep Ann Sheridan away from Cagney, to have Cagney to himself. Shades of "Brokeback Mountain." Wazzup with these dudes not wantin' dames around??
Bronxgirl48
Pat and Jimmy made a real good, uh, team in BOY MEETS GIRL.
