I don't know if that's true or was just a stunt at the time. As for Ginger Rogers, I haven't a clue. Of course, studios insure all their stars for each picture, but I don't think it's just for certain body parts. I think it covers anything that would delay or cancel the production. CineSage_jr Posted December 24, 2007 Share Posted December 24, 2007 20th Century-Fox did insure Grable's legs for $1M, but it was for the publicity value of emphasizing her most famous asset, rather than any money the studio would've recouped in the unlikely event that their star was run over by a train, or met some other bisecting calamity.
