Not sure when they make the exact cut-off, but Carrie was given the penultimate spot in the final update of last year's TCM Remembers, whereas Debbie Reynolds (who died the following day) didn't feature (to the best of my knowledge) in that year's program. Technically, I think that Carrie may actually make an uncredited appearance in this year's sequence - at approx ~48s Debbie is shown kissing a baby, which I'm guessing is her infant daughter.
