Will The Godfather ever be shown on TCM?

About 6 months ago The Godfather I, and II were shown almost everyday on AMC. Shane (also from Paramount) was also shown almost everyday. I think they still own the leases to those movies but I could be wrong they haven't been shown in a few weeks on AMC. Now would be a good time for TCM to pick up the contracts!

I believe TCM will show them at some point, but I'm sure they won't play them TO DEATH like AMC has. They're great films, but personally I can't watch them every day. Hopefully TCM will also acquire the rights to show "Shane" - I never caught that one, although I've heard how good it is.

I read a press release in the Movie News section that in February TCM acquired the broadcast rights to 61 Paramount titles from the 1940s through the 1970s, including SHANE, GUNFIGHT AT THE OK CORRAL, THE MIRACLE OF MORGAN'S CREEK, TO CATCH A THIEF, and many others. They've just started showing up in the schedules, so it's probably just a matter of time.

Ya know, I've not seen The Godfather. I've heard a lot about it, but it just doesn't seem like something I'd be interested in. Unless it does come to TCM, I doubt I'll check it out, though I probably should.

I have seen THE GODFATHER 72,983 times! That is a lie of course. However I really do not need to see it on television. I have the DVD collection BUT, if showing it on TCM is what it takes to get Antar and...that other guy(sorry)to see the movie then SHOW IT!
