That "Falcon" set is one of the most well put together Home Warner DVD's out there. I have it, I bought it even already having the previous "Special Edition DVD", and I'm glad I did.

Inexpensive, well put together, a disc you can watch over and over. Warners "knocked it out of the park" with that one.

Highly recommended.

That's one Spencer Tracy film I haven't seen, thanks for the lobby card. I'll suggest "A Lost Lady" in hopes of seeing it in the future. Which one is your favorite Ricardo Cortez film?

Favorite Ricardo Cortez films are : Midnight Mary, Phantom of Crestwood, Maltese Falcon,Mandalay, House on 56th Street.

Imdb says he eventually quit films to work as stock broker on Wall Street.

Regarding R. Cortez, I forgot to mention, "Broadway Bad", 1933. It was a code-buster

and denied reissue after 1934. Also starred Joan Blondell and Ginger Rogers. Fox film.

Sorry, was away for awhile! Woodward appears to be done. he really had a bad year last year. Was shocked Gotay was let go, he's only 25! He looks very good, but is only pinch hitting, which is sad.

Now, back to films! ;)

> Have you seen "I Killed That Man"? The description given by a user on IMDB made it sound interesting. Thanks for that bit of info, I would have never guessed. Maybe he was tired of being typecast.

Funny, he played a Latin lover, but he was a Hungarian Jew! Anyone ever see *I am a Thief*????

Very enjoyable film from WB in 1934, they run it every once in awhile...
