marshald25
I'm saddened to hear of the passing of Penny Singleton. She was great. She was a very beautiful actress and quite a talent. I hope TCM airs something of a tribute to her, perhaps airing her 1930 film "Good News"? Seeing some "Blondie" movies would be nice too, but I don't think TCM has the license to show them. laurapalmer11
I've seen some photos of her and she looks like she has something. Rarely do you get a glimpse of something in photos but hardly any of her films are on VHS. I would like to see some as well.
bansi4
I recall seeing a string of "Blondie" films last year on either AMC or TCM. Most of them were harmless fluff although Miss Singleton was a perfect "Blondie" and Arthur Lake ditto as Dagwood Bumstead. The situations were true to the popular comic strip which is still running in the funny papers. Mongo
fleshandthedevil
Penny plays a character in the second Thin Man movie - After the Thin Man - and boy is she fantastic! Her character's name is Polly Byrnes, and she has some great lines. she was also her natural brunette self in this flick, i believe she said she had to dye her hair for the 'Blondie' movies. a fond farewell to you Penny!
