Dec 30 '07; short about dogs who joined the Foreign Legion; movie's name?

Recommended Posts

On December 30, 2007 just before midnight, there was a short film shown on TCM following "The Shaggy DA" (10pm) and just before the Chaplin film "A Dog's Life" (midnight.) It featured dogs in all roles, walking on hind legs, in costumes, speaking, and lamenting the way that a relationship with a (dog) woman had lead each of the four principals to run away and join the French Foreign Legion. At the end of each sad story, the four legionnaires would shout together "down with women." It was surreal.

I cannot find the name of that piece. can someone help me out?

Wow, Fred, you must have been prepared!

That is great! I had no idea that there were a series of these, but I shouldn't be surprised. It was great - I just sat in awe and couldn't get up until the movie was over.

Thank you very much for the whole picture - I'm going to keep my eyes open for the others.

Thanks again.
