dsclassic
This is a great thriller...I just learned that these 2 were also in Dick Tracy in 1990, so I decided to watch that too today Any Misery fans ?
virginia1995
I thought it was a good movie....Lots of people say it's scary, but it's not! Kathy Bates and James Caan are GREAT. It's freaky, but not scary. My grandmother and my great uncle went to school with Kathy Bates. My grandmother said she was really odd, and always in school plays. Is Dick Tracy good? TripleHHH
Misery is a great one, one really spooky moment. I like this film a lot. The only movie that I have with James Caan, and the 2nd movie I have with Kathy Bates (the other is Dick Tracy)
Skeedaddy
Misery is a great one, and it is said "that imitation is the greatest form of compliment." The hobbling scene is now being used in a commercial about pain. To me real horror is the kind that is somewhat possible.
MikeBSG
"Dick Tracy" was so-so. Had Tim Burton's "Batman" never come out, perhaps "dick Tracy" would have seemed pathbreaking, but in the shadow of "Batman," it just seemed okay. "Misery" never did anything for me. To me, it seemed like the filmmakers said: "Okay, we'll copy a scene from Whatever Happened to Baby Jane, then do a scene from Psycho, then two from Baby Jane, then one from Psycho, etc. etc." It just seemed very predictable if you had seen Hitchcock's film and Aldrich's film. joefilmone
This a good film until the scene in which Kathy Bates starts acting like Jason from 'Friday The 13th"
