CJD
For years I have wanted to see a movie I saw at the age of 10. I absolutely loved it, it was on TV and I never got it's name. Now, it seems almost non existent. I now have a 10 year old daughter and would love her to see it. What I remember is 3 women, maybe sisters. They were going to have one of them pretend to be wealthy and the other 2 were to be her assistants. They chose who got to be rich by all 3 of them calling their dog at the same time and whoever the dog went to, she got to be it. They all went to a resort of some sort, I think it was by the sea, and they went to find wealthy men. The girl who was pretending to be rich fell in love with a man who also ended up pretending to be rich. There was also a sister who fell in love with a guy they thought was poor, but he was actually very wealthy. All the sisters fell in love and all ended up well in the end despite all the deception to begin with. The movie ended with the 3 couples driving off together in an open carriage. Please help. I have bought How to marry a millionaire and Young romance from 1915. Neither of these are the right movie and no search engine recognizes my description or memory of the movie. Thank You. FredCDobbs
Betty Grable was in one version with this theme, http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0033918/ but I think that was only 2 sisters. I recall the one with 3 sisters, but I can't remember the title or the actresses. I think it was in the 1940s and was in B&W.

CelluloidKid
Could it be: "The Dolly Sisters" from 1945!?!? In 1904, Uncle Latsie comes to New York from Hungary with two little nieces, who immediately take to cafe dancing. In 1912 they're still at it, but to pay Uncle's card debts they decide to go into vaudeville. Singer Harry Fox, whom they meet en route, schemes to get them an audition with the great Hammerstein; but their resulting success takes them far out of Harry's league. Lots of songs with a little story Stars: Betty Grable June Haver
FredCDobbs
How about "Three Little Girls in Blue", 1946: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0039026/ http://www2.powercom.net/~fredmac/images/3gls1.jpg http://i11.ebayimg.com/06/i/000/cf/52/4c7a_1.JPG
sandykaypax
It is either MOON OVER MIAMI with Betty Grable or THREE LITTLE GIRLS IN BLUE with June Haver. They have the same plot; the June Haver version is set at the turn of the century, the Grable version has a "contemporary" setting (1940's). Snorky
Maybe we can narrow it down to THREE LITTLE GIRLS IN BLUE with June Haver then. I've seen Moon Over Miami a dozen times although not recently but I don't recall any scenes like that with a dog. Also, Moon Over Miami is two sisters + Charlotte Greenwood - so while three couples, only two sisters.
