radiotelefonia
How many of you ever imagined the sound of an authentic orchestra in the days of the silent film? Thanks to Max Gl?cksmann, we can have an answer: In 1928, he produced this single recording of the Osvaldo Fresedo orchestra not in the studio but in the stage of his most important movie theater, the Grand Splendid. This is the theater today, standing as a bookstore although preserving its original structure: The Grand Splendid was wired for broadcasting in 1924 when a radio station was established in the same building, which also hosted Gl?cksmann recording studio. And here is the March 12, 1928, recording of the tango "Tu disfraz" (your costume) by Alfredo Danesi, with vocal refrain by Ernesto Fam?: http://www.esnips.com/doc/bc62c996-4277-402c-9a12-176206360f6a/tu-disfraz---osvaldo-fresedo---ernesto-fama(Aporte-de-Daniel-Wuister-) to download: http://www.esnips.com/nsdoc/bc62c996-4277-402c-9a12-176206360f6a/?id=1199510794522
