TCM lays easter egg?

Recommended Posts

So, I recorded the TCM broadcast movie...The Secret Bride (1935). Last night, I watched the thing with closed captioning ON. And, you know the tiled cityscape introduction to the Warner Brothers/RKO/MGM movies? Just as the cityscape introduction starts, the closed captioning...well, it is like reading an ongoing conversation between two closed captioning people. The two captioners are talking...something about trying to identify some music(?). The conversation last only a few seconds (until the start of the movie).

Now, I use closed captioning a lot...because the volume between cable stations may be a 30 decibel difference (which is a BIG volume difference). Anyway, I cannot remember ever seeing a closed captioning conversation. Has anyone noticed this? I'm not imagining things? My dvd player is not sending me messages...
