Al Capone Administration

It appears many still haven't figured out that this Avenatti is a phony.   He has mentioned major announcements before.   He does this every time the story starts to become stale to bring it back as a major news story (and suckers continue to fall for this).

He was interviewed after saying this before (twice),  and asked,  'where is the major announcement?'.   He gave a typically lawyer answer 'he can't disclose it'.    OK,  that might be true but since he continues have judges rule against him and this will only continue to happen (e.g. the arbitration clause in the NDA is solid,  even CNN Trump-hating lawyers said so),   he has to make these 'I have an announcements' claims.

Trump is clearly a phony, a clown an a-hole and not qualified to be President.

But what 'solid case' does he have against Trump?    That Trump had sex with her?   Uh, that isn't a crime (but instead common knowledge).  Trump lying about having sex is also not a crime since he didn't do it under oath or to the FBI or some other government authority.

The best that Avenatti can do for his client would be to invalidate the NDA (and I don't believe he will prevail in this).   Anyhow I fail to see how that would hurt Trump since only a total idiot doesn't believe Trump had sex with her.

The use of campaign funds has nothing to do with Avenatti.   I assume CNN is running with this Danial's nothingburger since they heard that Mueller isn't going after Trump.

PS:  also when a lawyer has a solid court case they don't give away their hand by making public announcements.    To me that indicates he has little to no case and all he if left with is trying to shame Trump.

Hey,  Trump being shamed is fun but I still don't see anything beyond embarrassment for Trump here AND as you have pointed out,  it isn't going to change how his supporters view him.

This is his case and the two (outside) lawyers said it was practically slam-dunk now.  They also said Michael Cohen had been thrown under the bus and dragged down the freeway and is in big trouble.  Trump unless he lies under oath is probably in the clear - at the moment.

Ok, I can see a judge invalidating the NDA since Trump and Cohen both disclosed information related to the NDA.  But since she did sign it and take the payoff I can see another option;  the judge reduces the 1 million per violation to something more reasonable like $100 per violation.

Is Trump lying about the hush money?
If not, then someone else put up the cash for Stormy Daniels, acquiring possible leverage over the president.

Hasn't Cohen said he put up the $130k?       Anyhow, as we have discussed paying for an NDA isn't against the law and even using campaign funds is a 'gray area'.     In addition due to client \ attorney privilege Cohen can't disclose what was discussed between Trump and himself.

So I just don't see this getting Trump unless Cohen spills his guts (and then would that evidence even be admissible in court????).

Exactly. Hush money is not a crime unless it's for the purpose of covering up a crime. Non-related consenting adults having sex in private isn't a crime.

You forget that Cohen's story was that he was not acting as Trump's attorney but just as a pal.  But that's not the point of the article.  Read the sentence under the article title.

I read the entire article and I saw nothing that contradicts the position I have taken on this case for weeks now.

Ok, say someone other then Cohen paid the funds?   So what?  Are you implying it was a Russian?

If Trump owes Citizen A $130,000 for hush money he is indebted to that person and Citizen A has something over the president.  You just don't know at this point.  That is why the presidents are supposed to come clean regarding their finances.

Uh,  you just don't know either.    (but you have been acting for months now like you know it all as it relates to nailing Trump for some crime,  which,,   uh,,, still hasn't happen).

Pardon?  Again you are projecting your own ideas on my posts.  I don't take the position that Trump himself will be nailed in the courts for anything relating to Stormy Daniels and I NEVER HAVE.  This thread is not just about that.  Their case is about dismissal of the NDA by the way.

I am going to have to put you on ignore for you just seem to have your own ideas as to what people are posting about.  Things that suit you.

Well you seem intent on twisting people's posts to suit your own need to create an argument.  You constantly misrepresent my posts and those of others I might add.  Not very nice.

You posted this:  You just don't know at this point.

That is you twisting my post to suit your own needs,  because the truth is that WE just don't know at this point.

So I point out that you shouldn't have said 'YOU' but instead 'WE' and you get your panties in a bunch.

Also,  my other crack wasn't related ONLY to Daniels but to all the other speculation you have done on so many other threads.    Note that I have agreed that Trump may have committed crimes AND I hope Mueller can find something tangible enough so that he is impeached.

That being said,  my overall point about these alleged crimes still is;    WE just don't know at this point.

For those interested in facts:   Lewandowski first met Trump in April 2014 at a political event in New Hampshire.

Cohn died physically in 1986, but his meanness and cruelty lives on.

I got one that you're not going to believe-- At one time Cohn was engaged to marry Barbara Walters. No marriage ever took place , but they remained close friends all of his life.
