I really wanted to post *The Place Where Dreams Come True* -from James Horner's great Field of Dreams soundtrack, but NBC-UNIVERSAL has blocked it.

It's a shame.

Instead, here's something completely different.

Yep, that is something "completely different". :) But nice!

I can't follow up with anything French, so here is something with a tinge of the Irish. Gordon Lightfoot and "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald". Awesome, awesome song:

HAha!! Actually it's closer to 23 miles Northeast of Funkytown..

(Funkytown, very possibly, was recorded in Prince's studios in Chanhassen MN)

Here's Sara Bareilles and "Love Song". Love the strong piano intro.

I'm not quite sure what you mean, but I have heard a variation of the line, "I need to get the funk out of here"...

Here's some Grand Funk Railroad:

Isn't there a song titled something like" Get the Funk Out of my Face"? .....The best siong ever, by far, in the somewhat vague genre known as funk, was Parliament/Funkadelic's "One Nation Under a Groove". One of my all-time favorites.

Okay, I did think of a French song! How can we forget Maurice Chevalier:

Though truth be told I'm a Boyer girl myself. Be still my beating heart.

Pepe LePew is my favorite. THANK YOU.

Think positively, everyone. I pray the wildfires out west end soon..

Sunshine is back here in town. Hopefully it will bring rain to Colorado.

The classic stars sing!

Here's Bette Davis with "Hush Hush, Sweet Charlotte". (Her singing starts at about the 1:44 mark):
