misswonderly3
Lovely stuff, casablanca, baby. Here is a fantastic jazzy version of the song, Doodlin' , It's got funny, clever, kind of loopy lyrics, and it's a great melody that works well as a jazz song. It's sung by the fabulous Sarah Vaughan. Now, why someone thought this song matches up with Lauren Bacall, I'm not sure, but I don't have a problem with it. But I'm posting this video for the song, the Lauren pics are just gravy (pretty good film lover's gravy, though.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aYbJjNYtXyE

LuckyDan
That reminds me of the stuff the minimalists were doing a few years earlier, like Steve Reich's "Come Out" and this one from Terry Riley. Do you know it, Frank? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjR4QYsa9nE&feature=related Super annoying.

misswonderly3
Can't go wrong with Elvis. This is a huge change of pace, but it's Palm Sunday, and I thought a little Bach would not be amiss. If you've got 10 minutes, listen to this soaring opening chorus to Bach's St. Matthew's Passion. Unfortunately computer speakers can simply not do this incredible music justice. Still, the first time I heard this I didn't think I'd died and gone to heaven, but I thought this music was a little piece of heaven come to earth. It must be one of the most beautiful pieces in all classical choral music:
