It is Russian in Cyrillic. You may think it odd I have difficulty reading Russian in Latin characters. I must sound out the letters like a child in school and I do not have a wide vocabulary in writing it.

*Jolly Fellows* (1935) is a wonderfully funny movie. I believe you will have the greatest appreciation for it if you begin watching at the 55:00 minute mark and watch to the end. It may be a slog for you if you begin at the beginning. A very funny part begins at 1:03:00.

To think they wore things of that kind before there were dry cleaners... ;)

I would listen to Flogging Molly sing, *And The Band Played Waltzing Matilda*.

But it's not in YouTube.. I must learn how upload...

Their other stuff is not nearly appropriate for today.

Outside of the Messageboard, I know many veterans. It is a day of ruefulness for some of them. They are proud of their service, and they continue to serve their nation in civilian clothes. But they work to make sure others are not forgotten, nor just be given speeches and glad-handing Thank yous. They don't ask for a handout, nor do they want guilt anyone into helping a vet who is running into difficulty. I have met many of them, occupying tents in parks lately.

This band of brothers and sisters seek the justice they believe in and fought for. That's why TBYOOL is a good choice of remembering Veteran's Day for me.

Sorry, I run on.. I liked your choice, MissWonderly. Thanks for posting it.

The Delgados are an indy band I like very much.

Everything Goes Around the Water is at:

The Light Before We Land is a gentle and loving song. It is sung in English with written lyrics at:

http://youtu.be/uHIDya8qLi8

If you like it you might think to listen to it again I believe you should see and listen to the short version as the opening song for the greatly under-rated and greatly misunderstood television series Gansuringā Gāru:

http://youtu.be/BTxkOM7PMRE

It is also very beautiful in the language of the series. A full version with series graphics is at:

The 965 was very popular. I can not find a small picture of it to add. Several views may be seen at:

This is a lively and wonderful singalong and this has subtitles:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4DQomIlxd4&feature=colike

The subtitles are for a direct translation of a standard text and they do not take into consideration the female singer. It is not to imply the lead singer is a transvestite.
