rainingviolets21
I just saw the Cary Grant musical "Night and Day" the story of Cole Porter and I was Taken aback by a little dancer who tap danced to the song "It Was Just One of Those Things" Who was she ? I never saw anyone tap like this, she was superb, best tap dancer I ever saw Was this her only film? She had dark hair and was wearing a grey dress and danced while Ginny Simms sang... BlueBonnie
That was Estelle Sloane. Yes, she is superb! She was a regular dancer on The Colgate Comedy Hour.

debro52
Night and Day was the "candy coated" story of Cole Porter. His music was wonderful. If you want to know more, watch the movie "De-Lovely" with Kevin Kline and Ashley Judd. (2004). This was more realistic, and the singers in this version will surprise you. Very Good Movie! joefilmone
" Night and Day" was more like the " in the closet" Cole Porter bio- " De- Lovely" was more honest in its depiction of Porter's gay life.
