CelluloidKid
Saw this interesting article at Movieweb.com ..I thouht it might interest some of you know, a conversational topic! Should this be Re-Made?? Was it that bad? Or Was the Orginial any good? After all, Arnold Schwarzenegger got Nominated for a "Razzie Award" for "Worst Actor" in "Conan the Barbarian".! Bloody Disgusting have confirmed 100% that Rob Zombie has been meeting with Lionsgate and Nu Image about directing the long gestating Conan remake. Nothing has been signed at this moment, but an announcement is forth coming. The film would revive the original 1982 franchise that starred Arnold Schwarzenegger and was directed by John Milius. While news is light on this front at the moment, we will follow-up with any immediate announcements. Conan has a proposed 2009 release date. Now that the writers' strike has come to an end, this should come together pretty quickly. Friday, February 8th, 2008 I like Trivia about films (Thanks Moive Database for this tidbit!) "Trivia for Conan the Barbarian ": Oliver Stone's script placed the Conan story in a post-apocalyptic future rather than the distant past. This was abandoned and the original timeline was restored. joefilmone
The original "Conan " movie was not that great to begin with so can Rob Zombie really make it worse? He can barely direct a horror movie - so how is he going to do a sword and sorcery epic? I thought they already remade "Conan" with " The Scorpion King". And yes The Rock would be a terrific Conan.
