Agatha Christie based her story The Mirror Crack'd on this incident. 

So in the 1980 movie of the same name, we have Liz Taylor as a fading film star haunted by the fact that someone gave her measles years earlier while she was pregnant. And in true Christie fashion, she's been waiting to get revenge.
