TripleHHH
Just got my copy from Amazon today and this was a great Noir. Very much enjoyed the characters and the plot twists somewhat similar to the Narrow Margin HIGHLY RECOMMENDED noir
FredCDobbs
Is that one with Michael Rennie? If so, I saw it, and it's a very good film.

scsu1975
I don't know if I'd classify this as a film noir ... more of a mystery, with a surprise ending.
TripleHHH
Well tell it to 20th Century Fox who classified it as a Noir.. It was downbeat enough to be a Noir, but yes this has some great mystery elements and a few scares. I really enjoyed it no matter how its classified. Great pickup for 10.00 at Amazon And I got it before the release date
HollywoodGolightly
This is one of the better "my husband/wife/brother/sister/son/daughter disappeared, and nobody believes me he/she even exists" thrillers I've seen. Jeanne Crain and Michael Rennie both do a great job, the story twist is fairly intriguing (or at least it must have seemed that way to audiences at the time) and Fox did a terrific job of recycling the ship sets from Titanic and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. According to the DVD bonus materials, it was also filmed remarkably fast - in just about 19 days.
