MilesArcher
OK, Terrence got Goldie Hawn. Now, let's go back to the original question. Who was the actor who left a successful sitcom to star in a show that featured a young Goldie Hawn? That show lasted one season and then he went back to his original sitcom. What were the two shows? DownGoesFrazier
Ronnie Schell? 'Gomer Pyle"? "Good Morning, World"?
MilesArcher
Yes, Ronnie Schell, who had played Gomer's buddy Duke Slater, left the show to co-star with Joby Baker in "Good Morning World". They were a disc jockey team at a radio station. Goldie was a ditzy neighbor. When the show failed, Ronnie went back to Gomer and the marines. Goldie showed up on a new show called "Rowan And Martin's Laugh-in". From there she went on to make a movie called "Cactus Flower" with Ingrid Bergman, for which she won a supporting actress Oscar. Your turn now, finance.

MilesArcher
DK is probably Dorothy Kilgallen.
lavenderblue19
I thought all 3 had to do with films and Broadway. I thought of Hedda and Louella and Dorothy, but Louella and Hedda were Hollywood based and Dorothy NY based. Either the question could be worded differently or you guys just understood the question differently than I did.
