MilesArcher
They each have a teenage girl with musical talent early in her career. Diana Lynn in "The Major And The Minor" had been a piano prodigy when she first appeared in movies. Gloria Jean, a young soprano in "Never Give A Sucker An Even Break", was being groomed by Universal to have a career like Deanna Durbin. Debbie Reynolds made her film debut at age sixteen in "June Bride". There's one other thing. Betty Lynn, who later played Thelma Lou on "The Andy Griffith Show", appears in "June Bride". Betty Lynn, Gloria Jean, and Diana Lynn were all born in 1926. I couldn't find anyone in "Never Give A Sucker An Even Break" with the last name of Lynn. That would have made it pretty easy. DownGoesFrazier
The supporting actors were also in short subjects???? Close enough. The precise answer is that each of the films had a cast member who was better known for shorts than feature films. ,,,,,Leon Errol (NGASAEB), Robert Benchley (THH MAJOR AND THE MINOR), and George O'Hanlon (Joe McDoakes) (JUNE BRIDE). KarmaGirl
All buried at Arlington National Cemetery? I knew once Audie Murphy's name went onto the list, someone would get it. Bennett and Bainter are buried with their husbands. Hammett served in both World Wars. Marvin was served in World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart. Murphy was the most decorated soldier in WWII. He was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor in 1945. DownGoesFrazier you had the correct answer. The thread is yours.
