DownGoesFrazier
I don't know DIRTY DINGUS MAGEE. Is that a classic film? I'm thinking of a late-40's film. Rebecca obviously is correct.

cujas
This next one is, indeed, trivial but fun. Can you name a Classic Film from the Golden Era with 3 billed supporting actors with the first name of Reginald. All three are key players, not doing bits or walk-ons. mudskipper
"Of Human Bondage"(1934) starring Leslie Howard and Bette Davis had Reginald Denny, Reginald Owen, and Reginald Sheffield in supporting roles...

mudskipper
English-born stage and screen actor...Being a trained stage actor, Sheffield easily made the transition from silent movies to talkies. He was a working actor who became memorable in numerous character and supporting roles and appeared with some of the greatest movie stars of the day, including Constance Bennett, William Powell, George Arliss, Loretta Young, Gary Cooper, Errol Flynn, Rosalind Russell, Cary Grant and Joan Fontaine. In 1954, he began starring as Professor Mayberry in the television series Rocky Jones, Space Ranger. And after his son, Johnny Sheffield, appeared in his last jungle movie in 1955, Reginald created, produced and directed a pilot for a television series, Bantu, the Zebra Boy, but a sponsor was not found and the show was never produced as a weekly series. Sheffield acted in both versions of Cecil B. DeMille's The Buccaneer in (1938) and (1958), the latter being his last screen appearance. Reginald Sheffield died in Pacific Palisades, California, aged 56.
cujas
Yes--Muddy--I always thought that cast was so English! But Alan Hale certainly broke it up a bit. I think every Reggie is in *Of Human Bondage* except bloody Reginald Gardiner. M. Mudskipper--Vous avez la parole. mudskipper
You forgot Reginald Truscott-Jones, Cujas... Next: This film, MGM's answer to "The Wizard of Oz", was a big financial failure for its star and the studio...(personally, I liked the film)...Name the movie and its star. lavenderblue19
Thanks, mudskipper. During an intro to this film, Mank mentioned that one of the actresses lobbyed to be nominated as Best Actress rather than Best Support for her Oscar nomination. She got her way, but it caused a split in the vote for her and the Lead actress in the film. Consequesntly they both lost. Please name the film and the 2 actresses involved.
