DownGoesFrazier
What did Bert Lahr, Frank Morgan, and Ralph Bellamy have in common? (This has nothing to do with film roles).

DownGoesFrazier
Name at least 3 classic films that featured appearances, cameo or otherwise, by real-life major league baseball players.
MilesArcher
"Speedy" with Harold Lloyd had Babe Ruth playing himself. "Pride Of The Yankees" had Babe Ruth playing himself. "Rawhide" (hardly a classic) had Lou Gehrig playing himself. "The Stratton Story" had Jimmy Dykes playing himself. "Safe At Home" had Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris playing themselves. "The Geisha Boy" had the Los Angeles Dodgers playing themselves. "The Kid From Cleveland" with Russ Tamblyn had the 1948 Cleveland Indians playing themselves. "The Winning Team" had John Beradino playing a ball player. He later switched from baseball to acting. These are just a few that come to mind. I'm sure there are many more. DownGoesFrazier
The other two I was thinking of was THAT TOUCH OF MINK, which had Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, and Yogi Berra, and THE JACKIE ROBINSON STORY, in which Robinson played himself. Yours, Miles.
MilesArcher
Being from New England, I would be remiss if I didn't include "Fever Pitch", which was about the 2004 Red Sox and featured cameos by Jason Varitek, Johnny Damon, and Trot Nixon. Now, lets stay with a similar theme. Can you name at least three movies that featured actual NFL football players, either current or former? There's only one condition. You are not allowed to include any movies with Jim Brown, Fred "The Hammer" Williamson, or Carl Weathers. That would be too easy. Believe me, there are plenty of others. MilesArcher
Yes, this question was too easy for you, fi. Others that quickly come to mind are Roman Gabriel and Merlin Olson in "The Undefeated", Ben Davidson in "M*A*S*H", Ray Nitschke in "The Longest Yard", Bubba Smith and Dick Butkus in a number of films, Alex Karras in "Blazing Saddles", as well as "Paper Lion", and of course, Slingin' Sammy Baugh in a serial titled "King Of The Texas Rangers".
