tobitz
Sh! The Octopus (1937). I really liked this one, which was shown Friday night. Gave me a laugh when I needed one. Yes, I know it's all been done many times before and since, and better, but I didn't mind. An added highlight was RO doing Herbert's "whoo hoo!" (or is that "oooh oooh"?) during the introduction. Does TCM ever show any other Herbert/Jenkins movies?
markbeckuaf
I totally grooved on this movie, too!!! I love 30's B mystery comedies!!! TCM does show quite a few films of Allen Jenkins and Hugh Herbert, they were great classic character actors!!!
edonline
I enjoyed this movie too and would like to see more. I also got a kick out of Robert Osborne's "whoo hoo!" At the end of the year, they should do a RO "Best Of" and include it.
DOROTHYGALE
I Really like this movie too, I'm sorry I missed RO introduction to the movie. I hope they show this one again soon. I loved the dark, atmospheric, lighthouse, and "bumbling" detectives!
kimpunkrock
I missed this one! I love the 30's B mystery and crime films also. Lyle Talbot and Chester Morris are in a lot of them. Luckily you can get DVD box sets full of them for only a few dollars. One I have to recommend that is available on a cheap DVD and most likely in the public domain is *Murder in the Clouds* with Ann Dvorak and Lyle Talbot.
