Larry, I can't tell you how wonderful those Florida illustrations are, and the nostalgia that wells up in me when I see them.

You are so welcome!

We both made each other nostalgic today. :)

Here's one more:

My mom really loved to visit anything with "garden" in its name. Florida seemed like such a magical place then.

You know what I could eat right now?

Indian naan and roti bread, with chutney, Chicken Tandoori, yogurt and

cucumber salad, rice, dal, and finished off with home-made coconut ice cream.

OH my golly!!! I have never tried indian food... (I don't know what "naan and roti bread" is... but the rest of that all sounds pretty wonderful... and the samosas are running low!)

Lovely, Larry, just lovely!

I'm the same way with "Springs" as your mom is with "Gardens"

How sweet to visit the magical Florida past with you today.

Good night now; see you tomorrow.

Kathy, Indian breads are SO delicious -- and they also have varieties stuffed with potatoes and spices -- they're meals in themselves.

Some people don't care for this cuisine, but I just adore it. When I lived in Chicago, every Sunday I used to go to this great Indian buffet restaurant on Devon Avenue. I could eat all afternoon for under $10.00.

Exquisite, Larry, oh how I love it, what a beautiful way to end the evening.

Sweet dreams.

It's 13 degrees here right now and dropping. I don't have a cat because I am a dog person but we have some strays around here. I wonder how they are doing.

Here are some nice local pictures of the snow. I didn't take them:

The cardinal is Virginia's state bird. :)

As you probably know they mate for life and stay in the same area.

With Cardinals, the male is the pretty one. Here is one with the Missus.

In humans it is usually the other way around:

Oh, my goodness! How am I to sleep now?! Ahhhh, such pleasant torture.

I say let Gloria melt all the snow.

And if she can't do it, I suggest you write someone a letter. Maybe they have a hot brick

you could use.
