The Annual FrankGrimes Torture Thread

It's nice to know that every now and then the ladies come unglued.

"Every now and then"? These "ladies" are always unglued and unhinged. Just look around, you'll see nothing but indecorous redheads, champoo floozies, trashy dames in plungin' red dresses, star hustlers with Captain's quarters, and sneaky girls who are nothing but too naughty. Whatever happened to the too nice girls? Where did they go?

Well, and after we complimented you too!! Instead of a cross between Charles and Gary, you're probably more like a cross between Wallace Beery and the mule he rode in on :P.

FYI, I'm no longer an indecorous redhead. I'm back to being an ditzy blonde ;). Red hair is so hard to maintain if you weren't born with it so I'm working my way back to blonde. It's kind of a strawberry blonde now but soon it will be totally blonde again...at least until I decide to go back to red :).

:D I'm just a plain ol' mule.

You're still indecorous. ;)

I love strawberry blonde, so that should get you to blonde quicker. And you do look like Janet Gaynor in that photo. Wolf whistle!

Film_Fatale,

I will have to check on her Fox features. THE RED DANCE still exists. Pity Fox doesn't restore this movie. I would love to see a nice print. WHAT PRICE GLORY? should of course also be on DVD.

According to Moving Picture World Magazine, Delores Del Rio was actually the 5th most popular actress in Hollywood for 1928. Her film RAMONA was a ligitimate Block-buster. THE TRAIL OF '98, was apparently also quite successful. as well.

Here is another simply gorgeous photo of the lady. Wow!

Great, now you're being nice to me again. What's a girl to do? Alright, I take it back, I guess you don't look like Wallace Beery and his mule; just Wallace instead ;).

Jeff, that's a great pic from *The Red Dance*. Do you know if that's a lost film?

Angie,

No, Raoul Walsh THE RED DANCE is not a lost film. I just posted about this. I have a copy, but the quality as with FAZIL is dismal. I hope Fox has nice Fine-Grain masters. They probably do have. Would love to see some more Delores Del Rio Silents on official DVD. The only one that's been released in EVANGELINE (1929).

I have a few others including WHAT PRICE GLORY? (1926) with the Movie-tone track, and THE TRAIL OF '98 (1928), also with vintage Western Electric track.

*Coop, Charlie Farrell, you've got great taste in men.*

I can't disagree with you there. Except of course there is one major flaw with both of them :(.

Those two had a lot of similar qualities and I guess they are just both my type of man: tall, strong and silent kinda shy types. Also sweet, a little naive on the surface but underneath, quite sensual and deep people.

Now if I could just find one like that that's still breathing then I would be in business ;).

We like the same types.

I was cornered in the laundry room again by my 90 year randy neighbor with the socks up to his naval, his arms down to his shoes, and his drooling leer.

But as my mother keeps telling me, it's never too late.

For what, I'm not sure, LOL.

Having seen FERRIS BUELLER'S DAY OFF the other day (one of my favorite 80's movies; I'm a John Hughes fan) and remembering Jennifer Grey's hiliariously frustrated and angry character, I was inspired to repeat her stay-away-from-me-line to Old Mr. Laundry:

"By the way, I have a scorching case of herpes".
