But you gotta admit, there's nothing like a strategically placed teaser to keep one's interest.

Between my Mom and Dad's Johnny Appleseed Day money and the QT's fine work...I now have: The Searchers Stage Coach The Undefeated/North to Alaska (a double)...I am interested in this one because I am pretty sure I've never seen the Undefeated--it was actually on my list...now I can cross if off soon!!! (these I got w/ the money from my folks) I found the first two at the mall and the third at Walmart) And....April....this will make you so happy...HONDO!! Found it at Walmart....where they also sell...TOASTERS!!) :-)

rohanaka
Which will you watch first? Well...I don't know. I am debating because most of them I would likely have to try and watch when the short person is otherwise occupied. I am too tired to start in on any of them tonight. But "Hondo" is the one I really want to see the most (at least at the moment) because I can't recall too much about it although I am sure I have seen it. ( I think I was drugged up after a surgery the last time...but I can't remember for sure) But I always enjoy The Searchers, and it's been a while since I've seen Stagecoach all the way through. (I did catch part of it a while back) I am pretty sure I have never seen The Undefeated, so I should start w/ that one. (though I am not a HUGE Rock Hudson fan...I do like some of his films though) But the truth is...North to Alaska is ALWAYS good for a laugh and the fighting in that is mostly all in fun so I could probably have that one on with the short person still in the room...so that is likely the one that will get watched first. Then again... (UGH! I am so indecisive sometimes...) PS--Thanks everybody for being a part of my "Johnny Appleseed Day" fun. You all are awfully nice people to chat with. Film_Fatale
I could be wrong, but I remember *Hondo* being pretty short, a bit under 90 minutes if I'm not mistaken. Of course, if you got the collector's edition DVD, it does have a bunch of special features.

WOO HOO! I have dug out the "playdough" and have the kidling all set up to be distracted....the show's about to start. (No popcorn though...still too full from all last night's eating extravaganza!) Bronxgirl48
Hi, ro. Can't believe Paul Newman is gone, even though it was obvious he was near the end.... Actually, if my own class was scheduled for that last Kay Francis night, I would have done my duty and gone in, but I've subbed for this colleague before and so felt fabulous relaxing on Thursday night enjoying MANDALAY, DR. MONICA, and CONFESSION. (unfortunately fell asleep after those three, but at least I saw those!)

Bronxgirl48
I was planning on staying up for the whole line-up (and I drank about six cups of coffee beforehand) because I didn't want to mess with the VCR; unfortunately sometimes caffeine has the opposite effect on me -- it gets me sleepy. (I also missed THE GIANT CLAW because of this, much to my deep regret)
