ILoveRayMilland
Is it possible to have a song on the board so others can hear it?
FredCDobbs
Yes there are ways. There are different kinds of music and different kinds of music players. The simplest way is to post a midi link like this: http://www.madore.org/~david/music/midi/turc.mid Click on that and see if it works. You should be able to hear it and also post on this board at the same time. Here is an old recording. See if this works: http://www.redhotjazz.com/Songs/Louie/lao/stlouisblues-b.ram There are basically three main music or ?media? players for computers: Windows Media Player Real Player Quick Time and a few other minor brands. The only problem is, each person has to download the latest version of each meda player. If not, some of the music won?t play. The media players usually take a while to download. The key to finding a music file is to find one that ends in .mid or .ram or .wav Those are the codes for midi (electronic music), ram (Real Player) and wav (Windows Media Player). Go here: http://www.redhotjazz.com/lao.html and right click and then left click on ?copy shortcut?. Then paste that in a message box on this board. That should give you the direct link to each recording on that website.

ILoveRayMilland
Thanks, I was really wondering if it was possible to post one of my own songs that is on Windows Media Player. Is that possible?
FredCDobbs
I don't think you can do it direct to this board. I think you have to upload it to some internet server, some service that takes video or audio and holds it for you. Then you can link us to that. I'm sure someone else here will know how to do that.
