oneilln48
Since so many older people watch TCM to watch the older movies, It seems like more movies should be in close caption as so many of us have a hearing problem.
markfp2
Welcome to the boards. This issue has been addressed a number of times. TCM requests captioned versions of all films that they show. However they have no control over what they actually get. Some studios have been very active in getting all their films captioned while others only recently have begun in ernest. No doubt, someday everything will be captioned, but that may be a ways down the road.
FredCDobbs
Hey! What about us old-timers who are deaf and dyslexic and we can't read fast? What about us, huh? How about something like this for us: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0oKaGvHqhq8

FredCDobbs
Lol, yeah, he first did that skit on Saturday Night Live way back in the late ?70s or early ?80s. It was a ?news? broadcast for the hearing impaired. He was shown in a small box shouting the news at the audience while the news anchor read the news at a normal level. That?s what I need. I hate to watch a show and read titles at the same time.
