joefilmone
Truffauts' moody adaptation of Ray Bradbury's classic sci-fi novel about a future society in which books are burned. I love this story and Truffaut- but the film should have been better. This is one remake I would not mind- just keep that haunting Bernard Herrman score. webestang
The novel is much better.....but I do like the film. A remake might be interesting.....maybe Ethan Hawke or Ewan McGregor in the title role. But....would you have the same women play both female parts like the first film or 2 different women....?? joefilmone
I don't know what Truffauts point was in having Christie play both women unless it was an homage to Hitchcock's "Vertigo". Mel Gibson was planning a re-make it but I guess he decided to do his Jesus movie instead.
webestang
Boy.....I'm glad old Mel baby didn't do it.....I think M. Night Shyamalan would be a good directors choice maybe....???
