Celevland
There is a book called Hell in Harlan. My boyfriends Grandfather was there in the 30's and was in the book. We were told there was a movie made before the documentary on the 70's. Was wondering if any of you have heard of it and know where we could find it? Thank you for you help and info. FredCDobbs
Are you talking about a movie made in the 1930s or about the strikes of the 1930s? The only one I can find from that era that might be based, somewhat, on the strikes is "Black Fury" from 1935, but it is not specifically about those Harlan County strikes. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0026121/
