Jezebel38
I don't recognize this actress, so my hunch would be that the clip is from a European movie, as in the promo, it is included in the segment honoring 50 years of Janus' films.
JackFavell
It looked like "The Cranes are Flying" at first but now, I don't think so.
FredCDobbs
The scene is about 2:01 into this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-0bhRep1lc Looks to me like there might be a small 19th or 18th Century cannon to the right of the girl on the screen, and it also looks like a cannon burst or a musket caused a blast of gunsmoke to cross in front of her face (right to left) near the end of the scene. Look like a lady behind her to the left of the screen is in peasant clothes, and someone behind her has on some kind of ?poncho? looking thing and is carrying something that looks wicker that might be either a basket or a shield (wicker thing can be seen on the right of the screen, above the ?cannon?). The poncho looks like something Robin Hood might wear, looks like the edge of the fabric has been cut to look serrated, like this: VVVVVVV. Could this be a French revolutionary war film? JackFavell
Is it possible to look up the TCM Imports schedule for 2006? I bet we could figure it out from that. I had a couple ideas from what Fred said, but they didn't pan out. I tried to look up the schedule, but don't know how
