Image result for resemblance between mike todd and richard burton

I've always thought that Mike Todd and Richard Burton resembled each other

Trying to see a resemblance, but my eyes can't help being diverted.

This is a great thread!

I would say that Pete Buttiegieg and Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean), look alike.

Adam Schiff and the guy who played Latka on Taxi look alike - I think his name was Andy Kaufman?

That guy William Barr and Elton John look like twins

I'm sure it was mentioned in this thread, but the young Paul Newman and Marlon Brando looked alike.

sorry I wasn't able to post photos as I'm not sure how to do that.

Those images don't show up on my screen SPRITZ,   but I can't think there's any resemblance of any kind of those two.  But,

There was another actor, and from the same time period, that Russell reminded me of, but I can't conjure up the name. :(

Plus there was one of my brother's friends that kinda looked like him.

Sepia:

Probably just your AOL browser again.

Some further detail (Sepia, you might as well ignore this):

I was playing around with uploading an image the other day and it looks as if they have included a new package along with the recent forum upgrade:
https://github.com/willnorris/imageproxy
If not this, then something with a very similar name.

This is just an image handler.  It appears to produce a static cached version of the image that stays there, unless the filename at the source is changed or removed, or the link to the picture edited at the forum.  So if you want to make improvements to an image after posting it here, as I have done with my help diagrams, just editing it on your end and overwriting the previously uploaded file won't do it.  You would need to save it as a different file name, then link to that instead on this forum.

Anyhow it kind of had me baffled until I saw what was going on.

I saw the Star Trek episode Assignment: Earth last night, which includes an adorable very young Teri Garr:

and realized she reminded me of an adorable very young Shirley MacLaine:

Both have that "gamine" look.

This comment is not intended to be mean. I just saw a photo of Lou Reed that reminded me of Boris Karloff:

While not dead ringers for each other -Lou's face isn't quite as thin as Karloff's- their faces have the same proportions & shaped features.

Karloff's personal elegance & charm make him come across more handsome than he is.

Lou Reed, not so much.

Thing is, Karloff required MAKE-UP in order to look that hideous.  Neither Reed OR Keith Richards did.  ;) :D

Having Driver  singing "La Bamba" will be the 2nd thing that will make the stormtroopers do a 180.

I just watched a great Kurosawa film for the first time thanks to TCM called STRAY DOG and noticed that when Toshiro Mifune is in modern dress he looks like Gregory Peck!

I thought DANNY THOMAS and JASON WINGREEN looked quite a bit alike.  I remember seeing AIRPLANE! as a little kid and thinking Danny Thomas had made a cameo as the doctor with the heart pumping and bouncing all over the desk . . . but it was Jason Wingreen.

I thought KEVIN McCARTHY and ROBERT WEBBER should have played brothers in a movie.

Moved this from the Bogdanovich thread....more appropriate here:

reminds me of

droopy.jpg

He's always had kind of a sad, yet adorable expression adding to his boy genius persona & especially like his haughty "ascot" years.

All this Clifton Webb talk on another thread had me thinking....

As a kid, for a long time I thought Clifton Webb from the movies:

312257

was the same guy I saw on TV:

342px-Jonathan_Harris_1967.jpg

I'm sure my confusion is because they both have the same effeminate, haughty attitude in most roles. So not "lookalikes" but "act-alikes", although Harris was more whiney in Lost In Space than Webb would ever be.

Both were really good actors, thankfully Webb had a chance to show it in more various & meaty roles on film.
