CineMaven
I'm sorry about the dog. I'll stay 'till the ASPCA comes. He'll be okay. I just grazed him. I'm looking at my post now while I'm at work. And you're right...it IS just two little boxes with an X inside. Sorry to have wasted your time, folks. Oops...gotta run. Here comes the ambulance. As long as I don't have to walk the white line or take a breath-a-lyzer test, I'll be okay. Poor doggie. Theresa

JackFavell
Last night my husband was helping me with some pictures from Pagnol's Marius, and he said, "That guy (Pierre Fresnay) looks like Ralph Fiennes.... I leave it to you. I think the resemblance is more due to the fact that they are both a certain "type", not a real physical resemblance. CineMaven
SCSU...You're a big ol' copycat!! Cinemaven 7/5/2008 1:57PM: "Let me get this straight. SCSU has a job, a J-0-B??? Someone is paying him an actual salary?? SCSU 7/5/2008 2:00PM: "That's why it says ' professor ' in my profile. But I don't go back until September, so there is still plenty of time for photos and puns." But then you write this to me today: SCSU 7/7/2008 11:09AM: "WORK?? You work?? Somebody actually pays you a SALARY???" Boy, SCSU...you are soooooooooo unfair not to quote my whole statement, which was:I'm looking at my post now while I'm at work. And you're right...it IS just two little boxes with an X inside." I was admitting I was wrong...I threw myself on the mercy of the court for some folks not actually seeing my look-a-like posting of Mayo Methot and Fergie. You're a mean taskmaster, Professor. BTW, Fred...I'm glad you find me entertaining. I try to be, and you're pretty tough to please, so I'm very flattered you said that.
scsu1975
Well, I wouldn't want you to think I'm a good guy. By the way, I still think you and Fred should get married.
CineMaven
HA! I can't compete with Hedy Lamarr. Fred's waiting for Hedy to ride on the back of his chariot across the desert. I look more like the maid in "You Can't Take It With You."
scsu1975
Oh, would you care to post your picture alongside the maid? I'm still waiting for Bronxgirl to post a photo of her Uncle Louie, who looks like Melvyn Douglas.
CineMaven
Actually, all jokes aside, I look a little like Melvyn Douglas.

molo14
I couldn't get on the boards yesterday for some reason. I'm glad to see everything is still running smoothly around here. CineMaven Melvyn is a very handsome man. Rich, I used your instructions to resize photos. Here is Delta Burke and Vivien Leigh: You are a good instructor. Unless your seeing red x's right now but then I'll blame myself.
scsu1975
I see them quite well, nice job. I had a lot of trouble getting onto the boards yesterday as well.

molo14
Thanks, I'll quit while I'm ahead! Howdy there CineMaven!
tobitz
Hey, I like the maid in "You Can't Take It With You." Melvyn Douglas is another matter. Fred is probably still waiting for Hedy, not that I can blame him. (Damn, it's blasted hot today). Rich, oh wise and benevolent teacher, I'm trying to downsize a pic of 400 X 527 pixels. If 527 is divisible by anything, I've long since forgotten. Any suggestions? Glad I wasn't the only one having trouble with the boards yesterday. I'd just upgraded a program and was beginning to feel I should delete the whole thing.
tobitz
Hey Fred, don't know if you understood, but Bronxgirl was requesting your help down on the archives thread: http://forums.tcm.com/jive/tcm/thread.jspa?threadID=125178&start=0&tstart=0 Far as that goes, if anybody checks there, I'd appreciate you letting me know if the pic I tried posting actually is visible. And for Bronxgirl: a) as I said before, you (and CineMaven) are pioneering here. Hopefully the instructions you're getting will help me also. I especially appreciated "Godfrey Daniel." Think I'll use that one."Suffering sciatica" I'd heard before but like also. c) You won't be thanking me for long. In revenge for that Hillary post (a terrible thing to do to a Shirley Jones fan), I'm wishing Larry King into your dreams. Fortunately, I'm not that big a Shirley fan. Maybe just a short nightmare. scsu1975
>Rich, oh wise and benevolent teacher, I'm trying to downsize a pic of 400 X 527 pixels. If 527 is divisible by anything, I've long since forgotten. Any suggestions? 527 is divisible by 17 and 31, which doesn't help too much. What I usually do is just round it off, in this case, to 530. Now you can downsize to 200 x 265.
tobitz
Gracias. I will try and see what happens.
molo14
Now that is just eerie!!!
Bronxgirl48
thanks, tobitz, for alerting Fred. I just checked on his thread there and noticed my James Whitmore has vanished; it's just Spencer Tracy. And what is my Richard Luger and James Stewart doing there? I posted that in lookalikes. I'm totally confused now. Suffering sciatica.
