lavenderblue19
Obviously you were determined to get this one. You are correct, but it would have been more satisfying for someone to KNOW the film and recognize it by the clues that I put effort into posting. It's your thread finance, go for it. In any case,: clue #1----a wife believes that there are problems in her marriage, although the husband doesn't agree. lavenderblue19
Bravo, Eve. Of course *The Eddy Duchin Story* the next clue was going to be Chopsticks and a Stick of Gum. Tyrone Power and Kim Novak- doesn't get more gorgeous than that! the scenes in Central park (the now defunct Tavern on the Green) the Harriman mansion, etc. Just beautiful. . the music was great and Tyrone was very convincing as a pianist.Heartbreaking story. The Lady Eve
That?s the one ? Alfred Hitchcock started his Hollywood career with a bang ? in 1941 two of his films, *Rebecca* and *Foreign Correspondent*, were nominated for Best Picture (and *Rebecca* won). *Foreign Correspondent* was nominated for a total of six. It starred Joel McCrea and an excellent supporting cast that included George Sanders, Herbert Marshall, Robert Benchley and Albert Bassermann, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actor. Good work, phroso, your thread?
