By Any Other Name..

Recommended Posts

It's been over a week and no responses so I'll give the answers. Leslie Gore sang "It's My Party", James Dunn played "The Brooklyn Thrush" in "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn", James MacArthur starred in "A Light In The Forest". and Lucille Ball Starred in "Best Foot Forward". So, the clues were Gore Dunn Light + Foot, or Gordon Lightfoot. I thought it was fairly easy, but nobody responded. Here's one that's even easier:

"_______ Green Was My Valley" Alexandra Zuck's Professional Name Red Skelton Starred In "I ____________ It" + A Recent Biopic Of Cole Porter Was Titled "_____-Lovely"

Give it a try!

Thank you, Violet. I guess, at least in your mind, that the name Miles Archer is pretty famous. I'd like to think so, anyway. While we're waiting for polecat, here's a simple one:

It's been a long time. so I'm going to step in here. There actually was an old silent movie called "The Stangle Knot", so I'll go with that. Stick can tell me if I'm wrong. Now, back to celebrity names.

Producer Who Headed MGM's Musical Unit Movie Where Martin Sheen Goes To Ireland To Bury His Father "The ________ Of The Sixth Happiness" The Leader Of "The Untouchables" "Brewster McCloud" Featured Young Bud ________

You may need to do a little research for this one, or maybe not!

Yes, It's Frieda Inescort, a very busy character actress in the thirties and forties. She played Boy's aunt in "Tarzan Finds A Son" and the lawyer's wife in the Bette Davis classic "The Letter". Scottish born, she was a natural for a role in "Mary Of Scotland" with Katherine Hepburn, and she worked with Bela Lugosi in "Return Of The Vampire". Mr. Sixes, you don't need to wait for confirmation. If you are wrong, you will be told, believe me. Now it's your turn to post a puzzle. We never did hear back from "the stick" on her post.
