Hi MissGoddess,

I actually thought you might like this movie. I saw it a long time ago and it stayed with me so I was glad to see TCM was airing it. I got behind in my film watching this weekend. I wanted to watch *Lust for Gold* and I have a Monday morning deadline for the blog we write at the library. I had to watch *The 400 Blows* for a review I was writing there. I was feeling a little overwhelmed so naturally I did what any strong macho guy would do. I had a panic attack and rewatched Marjorie Main and James Whitmore in *Mrs. O'Malley and Mr.Malone.* :)

Oh well. We do what we have to do. ;) I'm going to watch *Come and Get It* before I go to bed tonight. No danger of me falling asleep. I'll comment on it tomorrow.

Hey, I discovered another thing we have in common. I also have all five seasons of The Dick Van Dyke Show on DVD. :)

I enjoyed the energy Brennan brought to his character, and I actually had a few moments at the beginning when I couldn't tell if it was him or not

I'll go you one better than that....I never DID figure it out...I kept thinking..gee--that guy seems familiar. But I never put it together. (I know...and I call myself a fan!!) Chalk it up to lack of sleep, I can't even blame the Krispy Kremes...haven't had one of those in so long...I don't even want to admit it. :-) (Again...and i call myself a fan!!)

April..next time I watch this, I will tape my eyelids open or something...from all I have been reading, I don't think all of us falling asleep was any reflection on the movie...lousy Psycho space aliens. :-)

Be afraid, Kathy... be very afraid... ;)

Hey Kathy, have you seen *The Comancheros* ?

Ha! That made me laugh, Molo. I think that was a terrific compromise. ;) So did anyone

wonder how Irish people got into your review of The 400 Blows?

Isn't that just the best show?

Hi, Kathy! May I ask which is next on your list of movies to watch?

I finished Project Wings of Eagles last night and ended up taking almost 400 screencaps.

This officially makes me pathological and dangerously obsessed with movies, Ford's in particular.

I'm looking out for the men in white coats as I type this.

I would never say you were pathological! However it would be kind of nice if you would share the screencaps with your fellow TCM fans. ;)

Hi April...

which is next on your list of movies

The Big Trail. I got it the other day as a special order from the library....sad to say so far none of my other requests are in yet, but they are still on the library's list and I am in the #1 spot for most of them...so I guess I will just wait my turn.

Project Wings of Eagles

Now that to me sounds like and "official" mission so you can't be considered pathological...you are being thorough. No slackers on Pappy's watch. :-) Can't wait to see a few of those screencaps.

PS....don't fear the white coats...they might look scary...but they can be bribed. (that is a bit of personal experience talking...but don't let it get around.) :-)

You bake some cookies for your Head Librarian yet? ;)

It's another tidbit of useful info. B-)

I wish you could see *The Big Trail* in the restored, "Fox grandeur" aspect ratio, Kathy, but I look

forward to what you think.

I must have been crazy or close to it to take that many caps, but once I start a project I find

it difficult to stop. It's called s-i-c-k. :P

I hope they can be bribed with compliments, because that's all I have to offer! :D

Ha! Don't worry, I will NOT burden this message board with all those caps. That really would

get me locked up. :D

That's one I missed! They look so hansome...even Ken Curtis ("Johnny")!

:D I love that scene. "That's your Daddy...the one with the goggles..." Those little

girls are too cute for words.

I'm sure most people are safely immune from catching my "disease". :P

See what I mean! It's as if I'd taught them everything they know. :P

(I love how Spig's three 'girls' are holding hands---"All for one, one for all...")

My "disease" is still in the incubation stages. What did YOU think of it?

You've long since passed that stage, Pappita.

What did YOU think of it?

I haven't seen it. Is it any good? :P
