msladysoul
Critics been saying Charlize Theron has that classic beauty type look and acting and she does. To me she has a little of Anita Page, Carole Lombard, Bette Davis in her. She kind of resembles Toby Wing. She proved she's a good actress. She's really pretty and the way she looked in the movie so homely, scary, homeless proved she can do any role. She proved she wasn't just some pretty dumb blonde, she prove she can act and doesn't have to be glamourous all the time. I'm glad she won tonight
msladysoul
Charlize Theron kind of resembles Toby Wing and a little bit of Marilyn Monroe and Contance Bennett. The dress Charlize wore tonight was beautiful, sparking, and glamourous like the actresses use to wear in the Golden Era of Hollywood.
msladysoul
Oh, Charlize also was narrator for a Marion Davies documentary, Charlize kind of resembles her also. Charlize is a fan of classic movies, I guess that's where she got her talent from. I guess that's why I like her so much, she has those classic qualities. I would like to see her do a comedy. Could you picture Charlize playing Marion Davies?
kaneboop
Charlize Theron does have a classic beauty but she doesn't have the comic spunk required to play Marion Davies. She's a good dramatic actress I'm not denying that. If she ever does comedy I imagine it will be laid back, hopefully not tasteless too.
classicsfan1119
My impression of Charlize Theron by now, and after seeing her incredible performance in "Monster" indicates to me that she is not only very attractive, but most certainly has the ability to play any role she accepts, regardless of the Genre. Why compare her to anyone else? She is who she is, she's here now, and I find her to be the kind of actress I will spend money to see. ML
daddysprimadonna
Just to be nitpicky, she could have used a little more of a brighter or deeper lipstick at the Oscars. But other than that, she looked great:)Her acceptance speech was nice.
kaneboop
I compared Charlize to Marion Davies because the person below said she should play her.
stellabluegrl
I think Charlize Theron definitely has the "classic beauty" look. She looked so glamorous in that nude beaded Gucci gown by Tom Ford that she wore to the Academy Awards. I also consider her a very talented actress. I caught the tail end of one of her interviews last week in which she said she's dying for a comedy role. Classic beauty, incredible acting talent AND that supa hot Stuart Townsend for a fianc?e. Oh how I'd like to be in her shoes for a day (or more )!!
retrobella
Charlize is pretty but I didn't think "classic star" when I saw her at the Oscars. I think Catherine Zeta Jones comes closer to acheiving that look. She is a goddess. Renee Zellweger also has pulled off that classic star style at previous Oscars even though most people probably would not call her beautiful.
