Wendy, ugaarate, etc,

Glad you like the posts. Brown eyes? Oh no! Olive Thomas eyes were violet like Liz Taylor's!

Anyone know who these two people are? The girl is Mondo Good Looking! Wow! Had the still in a stray file for a long time and it was not labeled. Would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Update, it is apparently of a young Mary Astor with Pat O' Mally from the early to Mid 20's? I'll try to determine the movie.Perhaps *THE FIGHTING AMERICAN (1924)?*

*Mary Astor and Pat O'Mally in "The Fighting American" (1924)?*

Hi Gagman . . .

Yes, that was my mistake. I couldn't quite see the color of Olive Thomas' eyes. I thought they had looked brown, but upon a closer look and a slight twist of my head, they do appear a violet color. It's a Lovely picture indeed !

And that's a very young & beautiful Mary Astor. She looks like a darling with her dark hair in waves, framing her small, fragile face. And very lovely colors, too, especially the Royal Purple on that seat. I can almost feel it's velour material.

Great seeing your pictures Gagman ! :)

Milkshakesmania has a point. Often these colorized pictures have bizarre unnatural glowing eyes.

A lot of us would like it if every time one of these colorized stills is posted, the black & white original is also posted.

Yes, they're interesting. Can you tell us anything more about them?

MN,

Thanks for the link. This was just a still I saved from the Golden Age of Hollywood board where it had been posted there. However, it says there are actually 16 figures available, yet I don't see anything to click on that gives you info on the complete set, or how much that it costs? I imagine these are fairly expensive collectibles. Not really toys, but ceramic.

I'd love to take one of each! My favorite hat though has got to be the tan one at center top, under the $1.85 mark (!!!) with the folded back brim. Adorable, all of them.

Don't you wish you could go back in time, gather up all the clothes and things you could at those prices, and then hop into your time machine and bring them back, brand new?

Wendy,

Yeah, If I could just jump into my Time Machine back to the Roaring 20's, I would bring back complete pristine prints of *FLAMING YOUTH, HOLLYWOOD, PRODIGAL DAUGHTERS,* *THE GREAT GATSBY,* and *LADIES OF THE MOB* among others.;)

Ha! you got that right. I'd kill just to see one of those, especially The Great Gatsby, which is supposed to be the best adaptation of the book.

I'd add *The Way of All Flesh*. Plus every Francis Ford directed film, and Harry Carey's silent westerns, Tom Santschi's films and while we are at it, Florence Lawrence.

Hi Gagman ...

That's a great phot of the 'Our Dancing Daughters' (1928). And great colors, too. I love that Blue dress with the Red Roses.

And also of Florence Vidor and Betty Bronson. Great Colors there, too. I wonder if they were originally standing but the *'Weight'* of that Great book, forced them to sit down onto the floor ! :D

Oh and that Original AD for those Flapper Hats ... How Gorgeous are those ?? It's good to see the actual designs and colors they wore as opposed to seeing them on tv, when they appears just in black and white. And those prices ... I wonder what that would total to, today ? ?:|

Thanks for posting, Gagman ! :)

ugaarate,

Be sure and visit the other thread. Lots of new photos are in there. Are you ready for Thanksgiving? I'm sure not? I'm never ready. :(

Actually, that photo is not Florence Vidor and Betty Bronson. I don't know who the other actress is. And Betty is the one with the Book, She isn't the other girl. Anyway, I'm glad you liked the photo.

Don't forget about *WHAT PRICE GLORY?* tomorrow.

Hi Gagman ...

Thanks for that Correction on Betty Bronson.

I caught that when I saw your new photo of her holding that 'Grat Big Bouquet'. Which, by the way, is a wonderful pose of her.

And your photo of Esther Ralston is quite different how I'm usually used to seeing her. And this is from a 1925 Photoplay Magazine shoot, you say ? Well she is very lovely, as always.

Yeah, Gagman ... the holidays always seem to be upon us, before we know it. But just remember that Thanksgiving is a day for giving Thanks for all the Good Blessings God has bestowed on us. That's the Important thing. :)

Thanks for Posting, Gagman ! :)

Yeah, believe it or not that is Esther. And this other photo is even a little more revealing. This one I originally posted about a year ago, and struggled now to replicate the same colors.
