MilesArcher
Hold on there, hpyglf. Let me confirm Kid's answer. Yes, it is "Sons Of The Desert". That's the one where they tell their wives that theyre going to Honolulu for Ollie's health, when they're really sneeking off to their lodge convention in Chicago. I've learned from musicalnovelty that the Hal Roach studios employed Leroy Shield and Marvin Hatley as composers. Much of their music is heard frequently as background music in Roach films, but sometimes they would write a song for the occasion. In this clip, Ty Parvis is the featured singer and composer Marvin Hatley is playing the piano. That's Charley Chase with Stan and Ollie. Of course, the Roach studios never used anything just once. The song also appeared in an "Our Gang" short called "Beginner's Luck". Here it is: It's Kid Dabb's thread if he wants it. Hpyglf, please hold your question until Kid Dabb has responded.
