flashback42
Okay, thanks. Staying with the seasonal theme. Guy goes into a public restroom, sickened by what he has just seen. Gets control of himself, goes to a sink and washes his face. Door opens behind him; he does not turn around. He has reason to believe that he is the only living person in this building. In the row of mirrors before him, he sees no one. The door closes, and there are sounds of footsteps on the tiles. They go to the wall of urinals behind him. Blood/urine appears on the upright part of a urinal, and it goes down into the bowl near the floor.
flashback42
Brand Name Horror. I,E, one of those cases where -- quite often -- the name of the story's source will be included in the title.

Kid Dabb
Thank you, flash *Next:* This 51-film series of Western B films has it's characters opposing Nazis near the end of the series, during World War II. The series began with one leading man and later a (then low on the list) cast member would take over this role. This cast member would go on to much greater things. Oh, and a well known "Doc" from a well known TV series plays a war vet. Can you name the film series ? Bonus for the actor who took over the lead role. flashback42
There's a serial called King of the Texas Rangers, (1941). It ran an anti-Nazi plot, but I found nothing fitting the rest of your description. Didn't seem to involve Melburn Stone, either. Is this anywhere near what you refer to? Kid Dabb
Not the correct film series, but.. you have the correct "Doc" *Additional clue:* These ran from 1936 to 1943 and were based on a series of Western novels which began in 1933. Roy Rogers played supporting roles in some of these, as did Hoot Gibson.

Kid Dabb
You misunderstand. I'm still looking for the film title - either the first one in the series or the name of the series (virtually the same). "Doc" was part of the clue and you picked up on that (Doc wasn't the lead actor).

Kid Dabb
Thanks, flash. Here's more.. The title was created by combining the names of a type southwestern tree which produces bean pods (and tasty foods).. and the title of another famous story/film(s) about 4 heroes which take place in France. MilesArcher
It's got to be "The Three Mesquiteers". John Wayne was part of the group at one time.
Kid Dabb
It's gotta be Thank you, MIles. You to, flash Yes, John Wayne started out at the bottom of the pole and worked his way up to the lead actor of the show. He was in 8 films. flashback42
Take it, Miles. I focused on that question only because it reminded me of a pattern I had notice some decades ago. The WWII years produced some film-series tangents that generated anti-Axis plots. Tarzan, Sherlock Holmes, the Dead End Kids, the Bowery Boys and other such staple potboilers got into the anti-Nazi pattern at some point. I had not been aware of the Western slant. I believe that German Shepherd named "Rusty" also annoyed the Fuhrer a couple of times. Miles' thread, to use or open.
