Are you sure that is a photo of the beautiful Lucille Ball???? I thought that was an old woman with a huge, drooping nose....that's got to be the worst photo of her I've ever seen.

Mongo, I've enjoyed all the pics, but this one is extra special as Paul Douglas is a favorite of mine. I just about swooned when I saw it! He had nice knees, didn't he? :D

A-HA! Charles Boyer without his toupee!

Buster smiles!!! He must have been so handsome with a smile and no theatrical paint.

Lucille Ball was engaged to Brod Crawford? I never knew! Wonder what mama Helen Broderick thought? Both 25-year-olds waited until they were 29 to tie the knot with others.

Wasn't Gerry Mulligan terrific in Bells Are Ringing? You'd never know he wasn't an experienced comic actor in addition to great musician...

Thanks for all the wonderful rarities, Mongo.

Thank you, Ayres. I'm just as surprised to find out such stuff about the stars while researching

Oh Mongo, I check in two or three times a day to marvel at your wonderful Thread. Loved that pic of L&H, weren't they darling!

I suppose this comment belongs on the "Look Alikes" Thread, but I thot that the lady with Alain Delon was Angie Dickinson. Watching Good Neighbor Sam, I noticed how much Romy reminded me of Angie. The same hard and beautiful look...

Again, you are an oasis for me. Love, Susan

What a great thread. I just love it.

Yes, Barbra Streisand is awful looking. James Brolin must be scared when he wakes up and see that next to him. Didn't Obama say something about "lipstick on a pig"???

I know there are lots of Streisand fans, and I love listening to her music - but I hope I can sleep after looking at her in that photo. Perhaps someone can post a better photo of her - I mean that has to be the worst photo I've ever seen.

Thanks to Susan, movielover, and newclassicfilmfan. I'm glad that you are all enjoying the

thread.

I promise I will post a glamour shot of Barbra Streisand soon. Believe it or not most actresses

look unappealing without make-up.
