Looking at that pic of Pat Wayne took me waaaaay back. I attended Cathedral Chapel School (in the very middle of LA) at the same time he and his younger sister Melinda did. While they were in different classes than I was because they were older, I was very aware of them like all the other kids were.

Before classes started each morning, we would line up with our own class (there was only one class for each grade first thru eighth, each grade had at least 40 students) and a Sousa march would play over the loudspeaker while we marched in place. The class that had the straightest line and the most well-behaved kids would get to go to their classroom first. Pat was always cutting up and invariably his class would be the last into the building. He was very handsome like his dad.

Mongo, love your Candids. The photo of John Barrymore and Dolores Costello look like her photo was cut out and combined with a photo of him. I was under the impression that they were married in much younger days. She had beautiful eyes. John looked like he did some hard living. Thanks again for a bright spot here on the forums. Your captions have kept me chuckling lately.

Thank you, Cinemafan. You possibly could be right about the Barrymore/Costello image.

Armand, two of the images that you used have already been posted here on the *CANDIDS*

thread. Thanks anyway for your effort.
