Actress Ruth Roman waits anxiously for word of her son Dickie

in New York. Both were passengers on the SS Andrea Doria.

In 1956 the MS Stockholm collided with the SS Andrea Doria, sinking it.

Miss Roman and her 4yr old son were seperated during the rescue.

I love this thread! Many times I try to guess who the people are before I read the captions below the photos. When I saw the photo of Marie Ouspenskaya I at first thought it was Wallace Beery in some weird costume or even in drag. LOL. She resembles him in that photo.
