DownGoesFrazier
The failure of this early '60s comedy could have been expected, since it starred an actor and actress with little experience in, and many would say, aptitude for comedy. Film? Actor? Actress?

lavenderblue19
In this film where music is central to the plot, one of co-stars couldn't play an instrument in real life. Besides the obvious dubbing, to create the look in close ups of his playing the instrument, arms of musicans who could play the instrument were used. Film, actor?? lavenderblue19
No sorry. Took 2 real musicans to accomplish the task, so think of instruments that would need 2 tasks accomplished to make music

emgee1
Hey, dig all those sitars in sixties movies! Groovy! Deception with Paul Henreid and Bette Davis?
lavenderblue19
Yes Paul Henreid in 1946 *Deception* - In long shots he could fake it, but in the close up shots he wore a special jacket with no sleeves and holes for 2 real cellists to insert their arms- one to bow and one to finger the music. They sat behind him and couldn't be seen in the shots. Your thread, emgee
