Edythevanhopper
I'll try The Third Man? Graham Greene has a 1st name of Henry so maybe Harry Lime (Greene) was played by Orson Welles. ??
lavenderblue19
Thank You Edythe. Yes, Graham Green's real first name was Henry. He dropped it and used Graham, his real middle name as his first. It's been said that Graham Greene named Orson Wells' character Harry Lime after himself. Good going Edythe, your thread
Edythevanhopper
Thanks lav, keeping with theme songs, another stylish noir's theme song originally had a different title. Can you name it?
starliteyes
"Laura," the theme song of Laura, was originally titled "Judy" in honor of Judy Garland. Johnny Mercer, who wrote the lyrics, was in love with her.

starliteyes
This film had been planned for Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland as a follow-up vehicle to Babes in Arms. However, plans were changed when Louis B. Mayer decided that he would rather have them make a film that capitalized on the then current swing craze, and so they made Strike Up the Band instead. The originally planned film did eventually get made several years later with different stars. Name the movie and the stars.
